SCSC’s U7/U8 age group is participating in the Broome County Soccer Association U8 program for the first time this spring.  Each club holds a soccer festival, and schedules round robin games for the attending clubs.  SCSC held the U8 festival of the spring season on Saturday May 5, hosting 70 players from 5 clubs.  Coaches John Bayne and Mark Mucci, with the help of parents Matt Clark, Valerio Pruneri, Kelly Massengale, and Rob Sabia coordinated the event and coached 3 teams from SCSC.  It was a great day and shows the results of SCSC’s effort to involve kids as early as age 4 through Jonny Sinclair’s development program.  In 2004, there was one 7 year old registered with SCSC, and he had to play on a U10 team.
