The SCSC U15 Dragons began their preparation for the upcoming outdoor season with a trip to the Greater Binghamton Sports Center for the U16 Spring Shootout.

Playing their first full field game of the year, they began slowly in pool play with a 0-0 tie with BC Fusion.  This was followed by a 1-0 loss to Syracuse Blitz.  The Dragons bounced back strongly to record consecutive victories against SRU (2-0) and Vestal (1-0) in their last two pool games.  With other results going their way, this was sufficient to secure second place in the pool and a re-match against Syracuse Blitz in the championship game.

With neither team able to score in regulation or extra time, the game went to penalty kicks.  With Syracuse only scoring on one of their first four kicks compared to the Dragons three of four, the Dragons left the field with the win.
