Hello Parents and Players!!!

We have some exciting new changes taking place in the club. The club has been growing and expanding each year and our level of play has followed this path. In keeping with our growth and level of play, we have decided to utilize the fall just for our club development. This will allow us to continue the focus on the young players of both genders allowing us to ensure the proper development to feed our older premier teams. 

In order for us to continue in this new path and direction we have decided to adopt the “Dutch & Brazilian” approach which is small sided games and technical training known as “Street Soccer”.

Our fall program will now be known as Street Soccer, this program will give our young players technical training by licensed and certified coaches. Along with this the players will get 10 minute games in a venue of 3v3 for U5, U6 and 4v4 for U8-U12’s.  The plan is to have one session on a week night and one session on the weekend. One session will consist on 20 minutes of technical training and then 10 minute games. U6 will receive 3 ten minute games, U8 will receive 4 ten minute games, U10 will receive 4 ten minute games and U12 will receive 5 ten minute games, this will be contingent on the weather the night of training.  A week schedule for fall will be Thursday 5:30 – 7:00 and Saturday 10:00-11:30 these will always be at Eldridge Park, we will be offering 8 weeks of the Stree t Soccer format and then the 9^th week we will have a Street Soccer Jamboree, this will entail having one to two clubs coming in on a Saturday the players will break up and have the Street Soccer matches, the parents will be preparing food and cooking hamburgers / hot dogs for the day’s events. The following day we will travel with our players to the other clubs site to finalize the Street Soccer Jamboree weekend!

What SCSC Street Soccer has to offer over other soccer leagues / Clubs:

Our Associate Director of Coaching for Developmental Kerry Hill (ADOC) will be leading this fall program holds a NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) Youth National Diploma, and an NSCAA Advanced National diploma. He is supported by the other ADOC’s, Steve Mastronardi, the Boys ADOC, who also holds an NSCAA Premier Diploma, a USSF National “B” License, and USSF National Youth License, and  Zach Sarno,  the Girls ADOC who holds an NSCAA Premier Diploma and USSF National “D” License.  The other coaches that will be involved are certified at different levels but have all have had to complete as a minimum of a USSF “E” license or NSCAA State diploma. We will also have some parent volunteers added to help support our coaching staff in this effort.  It is important to note that all coaches and volunteers associated with this program will have a RISK management background check completed before they can work with your child as we strive to ensure a safe environment for every player.

• Every player plays the entire time, no player sits out
• Every player will learn to recognize and adapt to the speed of the game
• Every player will learn to play with other players at different levels and adapt accordingly
• Every player will have an environment in which their creativity is encourage
• Every player will learn the tactical side of the game and learn to adjust to the games speed  
• Every player will have an environment in which the pressure of the parents and coaches is removed allowing them to experience the game for themselves
• Every player will experience age appropriate activities and competition
• Every player will receive an SCSC Street Soccer Kit, ( a full uniform to include shirt, shorts, socks) 
• No tryouts!!!
• EVERY PLAYER WILL HAVE FUN !!!!!! 

 We understand that this is a new format and new direction for our club, but for our club to continue to excel we need to be flexible to adapt to the new concepts that will keep us on the forefront in NYSWYSA.
