Dear SCSC Family:

As you know from Jonny Sinclair’s E-mail last week, despite our best efforts over many, many months, Jonny’s Visa was denied for reasons that make absolutely no sense at all. It is with tremendous sadness that we have finally had to accept the fact that Jonny will not be able to return. We will miss him dearly and we hope that someday down the road he will be able to re-join us.

So that’s the bad news. The good news is that we have taken a very hard look at how to better run our club and we have come up with a solution that we believe will actually be better than the single Director of Coaching (DOC) system we used under Jonny.

The problem with the single DOC system was that despite how fantastic Jonny was, there simply was not enough hours in the day for Jonny to get done all the many things that are necessary to effectively run a growing club: recruiting coaches/players, organizing tryouts, lining fields, conducting tryouts, selecting teams, ordering uniforms, training coaches/players, etc…… The DOC “to do” list goes on and on…..


Because of the limitations of a single DOC system, we are now going to utilize a three DOC system: Steve Mastronardi will be the DOC for our Boys program, Zach Sarno will be the DOC for our Girls program, and Kerry Hill will be the DOC for our Development Program. Each of these DOC’s will be responsible for the many DOC tasks that apply to their respective groups. Our hope is that by having a dedicated DOC to each distinct group will permit that DOC to focus on the particular needs of that group

In addition, Dee Patrick, our extraordinary Club Registrar, will now serve as Administrative Assistant to the DOC’s to make sure all the details of the club get taken care of. Dee will be handling all of the player registrations, team registrations, and uniform ordering.

Finally, our club Vice-President Brian Adams will be meeting on a frequent basis with the DOC’s and Dee to make sure that everyone is on the same page and advancing the long-term goals of the club.

We strongly believe the DOC Council system will improve SCSC and we hope it permits us to better serve our players and parents. If you have any questions/concerns/input regarding our plans, please feel free to email me at: President@soaringcapsoccer.com

Sorry for the lengthy email but I wanted to provide as much information as possible so everyone is aware of our plans and the reasons for those plans.
